The Raiders Tame the Tigers

Six Central Community College players scored in double figures to lead the Raiders to a 97-57 road win over Doane JV. Ruben Fuamba recorded a double-double with 18 points and a team-high 13 rebounds.

Defensively, CCC outrebounded Doane JV, 42-28, and forced 18 Tiger turnovers.

"We played outstanding defense against Doane JV, said CCC head coach Jerry Drymon. "The team really committed to guarding and rebounding and that let us get our transition game going, which ultimately lead to the difference in the game."

Logan Fleming led the Raiders in scoring with 19 points. Jerome Dixon and Deon Tabb scored 13 points apiece, while Marco Fabietti scored a dozen points. Tristan Hoover rounded out the double-digit scoring with 10 points.

The Tigers were led by Kyle Hart with 17 points, while Charley Burtwistle totaled 10 points.

With the win, the Raiders improve to 11-6 on the season. Up next, CCC will stay on the road for a Saturday meeting at Iowa Western Community College.
