The Central Community College shotgun sports team shot in the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) this weekend in Grand Island. For the HOA, the Raiders finished fourth of the eight teams who shot for the HOA Title. HOA are teams who shot at all 400 targets. The following is a list of notable peformances:
- 4th of 8 in doubles skeet with a 203/250 – Only two targets away from tying with the second place team, which shot a 205/250.
- 6th of 18 in skeet with a 459/500 – Nick Brodsky won high male skeet with a 99 after a shoot-off.
- 6th of 18 in trap with a 461/500 – Schyler Schwisow was runner-up in the female division with a 97.
- 5th of 15 in super sporting with a 181/250.
- 10th of 17 in sporting with a 356/500.
- Brodsky was fifth HOA male with a 343/400 and Amy Tonniges was sixth HOA female with a 302/400
"The results from this weekend are moving in the correct direction," CCC head coach Michael Saint said. "We still have some work to do on the mental side, but we now know what we need to work on to make improvements going into our next event."
