The competition was intense, with each shooter taking on 100 targets in trap, skeet and sporting clays. The Raiders finished eighth out of 14 in trap, 11th out of 14 in skeet and 12th out of 14 in sporting clays.
For the high overall, CCC's standout shooters were Nick Brodsky (263-300), Dalton Sinsel (254-300), Bryce Schuster (244-300), Everett Schuler (241-300) and Austin Holtzen (235-)300. With these scores, the Raiders finished 10th of the 14 schools and third of the five community colleges.
"Overall, it was a great learning experience and a stepping stone for future competitions," CCC head coach Michael Saint said. "We're proud of our shooters and look forward to improving our standings in upcoming events."
The shotgun sports team is back in action Oct. 5-6 at the Hastings Invitational.
