Shotgun Sports: Raiders Shine in Stacked Event

The Central Community College shotgun team had an exceptional performance this past weekend, showcasing their talent the Prairie Circuit Conference event.

Nick Brodsky led the charge, securing first place as the top male skeet shooter with an impressive score of 99 out of 100. He also triumphed in the doubles trap category after a thrilling shoot-off, finishing with a score of 46 out of 50, plus an additional 20. Brodksky's outstanding performance earned him a spot on the All-Prairie Circuit Conference Team. He was also named as the  All-Prairie Circuit Conference Freshman and was the high overall (HOA) male shooter with a cumulative score of 366 out of 400.

Amy Tonniges also delivered a stellar performance, taking first place skeet female with a score of 97 out of 100 and was first place female in doubles skeet with a score of 43 out of 50. She tied for first place in female doubles trap with a score of 40 out of 50 but narrowly missed out in the shoot-off. Tonniges' achievements earned her a place on the All-Prairie Circuit Conference Female Team. She also earned the title of Female HOA with a score of 327 out of 400.

Dalton Sinsel contributed significantly to the team's success, earning a spot on the All-Prairie Circuit Conference Team with a score of 351 out of 400.

The Raiders also excelled in team events, finishing second in doubles trap with a score of 215 out of 250. They secured third place in skeet, trap, sporting clays, and doubles skeet. Competing fiercely against Conners State (Okla.) College, which ranked third nationally last year, the Raiders finished third in the HOA with a score of 1724 out of 2000, just nine targets behind Conners State.

The Shotgun Sports team is back in action this weekend at the Warrior Open.
