Jim was an accomplished coach and leader in the State of Nebraska for collegiate track and cross country.  After his time at Platte College, he served as Head Coach of Track and Cross Country at Midland University.  Jim’s many honors include induction into the Midland University Athletic Hall of Fame, Omaha Running Club Athletic Hall of Fame, and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Hall of Fame.
