Jim Dolezal

Men’s Basketball Manager – Statistician

Hometown:  Columbus, Nebraska

Jim was the basketball manager in the first recruiting class for Coach Jack Gutierrez.  He was valued by the 1983 team, which finished as the #2 team in the country at the National Little College Basketball tournament, as a total team player on that team. His duties consisted of laundry, clock management during practices, scouting reports and keeping the team focused at all times. Many people that know Jim from his college days and even high school days will marvel at his recall of games and events that occurred decades ago.  His recollection of games during his two years at Central are off the charts and detailed to the minute they happened and just how they happened.  Jim is the second member of the 1983 basketball team, along with that team, to be inducted into the Central Community College Athletic Hall of Fame.  He is the ultimate historian when it comes to Raider Basketball in the 1980’s.
