Volleyball: Hawks Defeat Raiders

The Central Community College volleyball team was shutout at Northeast Community College, 3-0, on Friday night in Norfolk.

The final scores were 25-12, 25-22, 25-18.

Shania Borchers and Jordee Korte each recorded seven kills, while Rylee Kwapnioski totaled 29 assists. Jacie Laetsch finished with 14 digs.

"Overall, we were flat in our match against the Hawks, which was something we didn't see in our team earlier in the week," said CCC head coach Mary Young. "We just played flat and lacked the execution needed to take control of the match. In order to really improve, we have to become more consistent with each match."

With the loss, the Raiders are 10-9 on the season.

CCC returns to Raider Fieldhouse on Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. meeting with Iowa Western Community College. The Reivers defeated the Raiders, 3-0, in Council Bluffs on Sept. 14.
