Volleyball: CCC Rolls Past MCC

The Central Community College volleyball team scored a 3-0 win over McCook Community College on Wednesday night at Raider Fieldhouse. The final scores read 25-14, 25-16, 25-16.

"I thought we executed well tonight and was one of our better performances on our home court," said CCC head coach Mary Young. "As a unit, I thought we played well and kept McCook on defense and forced a lot of their errors. I was also pleased that we were able to try a few different lineups in the match and we worked together to stay in a good rhythm."

Maeghan Pieper led CCC in kills with 10, while Paxton Throne totaled 30 assists for the night. Jacie Laetsch recorded 18 digs.

Up next, the Raiders will travel to Iowa Western Community College for a Friday night triangular with the hometown Reivers and Cloud County Community College. CCC will take on CCCC at 5 p.m., followed by IWCC at 7 p.m.
