Volleyball: Winning Streaks Reaches a Dozen

The Central Community College volleyball team defeated Southeast Community College, 3-0, at Raider Fieldhouse on Wednesday night. The victory moves CCC's winning streak to 12 matches.

The Raiders and the Lady Storm swapped wins in the first two sets. CCC took the opening set, 25-15, while SCC claimed the second set, 25-22. The Raiders took command in the third set with a 25-8 triumph, followed by a 25-14 decision in the fourth set to claim the win.

Amber Anderson was tops in Kills for CCC with 17. Paxton Throne dished out 46 assists, while Lexi Holland and Jessica Eurek recorded seven digs apiece.

The 12-0 Raiders will take part in the Kirkwood Invitational this weekend hosted by Kirkwood Community College. On Friday, CCC will meet Parkland College and McHenry County College at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively. On Saturday, the Raiders will take on Illinois Central College at 11 a.m., followed by a 1 p.m. meeting with Sauk Valley Community College.
