COLUMBUS -- The Central Community College volleyball team ended its regular season with a clean sweep.

The National Junior College Athletic Association No. 13 Raiders took down Cloud County Community College 25-8, 25-19, 25-21.

"I thought we really played well," Central head coach Mary Young said. I thought we set the tone early with our blocking. Cloud has some players that come with big swings, and they can play a physical game. We had some blocks early that really took them out of what they wanted to do."

Sophomore Keely Woods recorded 11 kills to lead the Raiders. Woods recorded a double-digit kill totals for the third straight match, her longest streak this season.

"I thought Keely played a smart match," Young said. "She was aggressive and was seeing the court. She used the blockers at times and had a nice match. She blocked well, too, and she jumps well."

Payton Chohon and Keshia Ellwanger each added nine kills for Central.

"Obviously, the last couple weeks we haven't played at the level we think we can play, so last night was a good match to solidify things and end of a high note," Young said. "They are a decent team, and we took them out of their game plan. That gives us a push and gives confidence that we were lacking."

Central plays the winner of North Platte Community College and Southeast Community College to open the Region IX Tournament Friday in North Platte.
