The Central Community College women's soccer team dropped its second straight outing with a 5-0 loss at Western Nebraska Community College on Saturday.
The Cougars scored four goals in the first half and the final goal scored four minutes into the second half.
"We were still a little physically fatigued from Friday and we started out against a strong wind and gave up the four goals in the first half," said CCC head coach Jamie Bennett. "We played much better the second half against a nationally-ranked team, but we just didn't have enough firepower to keep up with them."
The loss evens CCC at 5-5 for the season.
CCC will return home for a Friday afternoon contest against Western Wyoming Community College. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. at the Raider Soccer Complex.
