Central Community College women's basketball is pleased to announce the signing of Khia Zuniga, a senior at Childress (Tex.) High School.
Zuniga helped lead the Lady Cats to the 2019 University Interscholastic League tournament and earned first team all-district honors.
"I feel like there are a lot of great opportunities at CCC to further my basketball career with such a family-oriented community," said Zuniga.
Zuniga also participates in volleyball, softball and track at CHS.
"Khia will bring speed and quickness to our defense," said CCC head basketball coach Billy Perkins. "She also brings good shooting range to spread out the floor. Khia is a great student and will be a great addition to our team."
Zuniga will major in nursing at CCC. She is the daughter of Patsy Zuniga of Childress.
