Women’s Basketball: Raiders Bounce Bulldogs

The Central Community College women's basketball team defeated Concordia University's JV squad, 83-70, at Raider Fieldhouse on Thursday night.

After leading 58-57 after three quarters, the Raiders outscored the Bulldogs 25-13 in the final stanza to post the win.

Four CCC players scored in double figures with Monica Brooks (pictured) leading the charge with a season-high 22 points. Day zchay lon Gardner recorded 20 points, while Alexis Ramaekers finished with 13 points. Maddie Davis scored 12 points off the bench. Defensively, Averie Miller logged 10 rebounds.

"The team did a good job staying together and finishing the game," said CCC head coach Billy Perkins. "I am very proud of how we competed and kept fighting to the end."

The win gives the Raiders a season mark of 3-7.

Up next, CCC will host Little Priest Tribal College on Saturday at 11 a.m. Tip-off was moved up from 1 p.m. because of expected inclement weather.
