The Central Community College women's basketball team defeated Des Moines Area Community College, 71-56, in the final day of the Marshalltown Classic.
The Raiders saved their best for last as they outscored the Bears, 23-11, in the final quarter after leading by three points at the end of the third period.
"From the beginning, we did a good job attacking their defense," said CCC head coach Billy Perkins. "I am pleased with how we worked together to finish the game."
The victory gives the Raiders a 2-5 record.
Up next, CCC returns to Raider Fieldhouse for a Tuesday night clash with McCook Community College. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
