A pair of late free throws lifted Little Priest Tribal College to a 67-63 win over Central Community College on Tuesday night in Winnebago.
The game was close throughout and both teams shot 37 percent from the floor. Even the rebounding column was identical at 30 apiece.
"The effort was there tonight we just could not get the win," said CCC head coach Billy Perkins. "We had the lead in the fourth quarter and then they hit a couple of three pointers and we turned the ball over."
Monica Brooks led the Raiders in scoring with 17 points, while Day zchay lon Gardner added 14 points.
With the loss, CCC is now 1-4 on the season.
Up next, the Raiders will take part in the Marshalltown Classic, hosted Marshalltown Community College.
On Friday, CCC will meet the host Tigers at 5 p.m.
On Saturday, the Raiders will take on Des Moines Area Community College at 1 p.m.
