Women’s Basketball: Greyhounds Beat the Raiders

The Central Community College women's basketball team lost to Fort Scott Community College, 74-67, in closing-round action of the Holiday Classic in Beatrice.

The Raiders recorded 11 three-point baskets in the contest. However, Fort Scott's 58 rebounds, 27 of which were offensive, proved too much to overcome.

Four CCC players finished in double figures with Jada Warner leading the way with 22 points. Lexie Bacon logged 14 points, while Shanelle Wong-Sang recorded a double-double consisting of 11 points and 11 rebounds. Quenshae Love rounded out the double-digit scoring with 10 points.

CCC is now 3-10 on the season following the loss to Fort Scott.

The Raiders will return to Raider Fieldhouse on Tuesday night, nearly one month after last playing there. CCC will host Midland JV at 7 p.m. It will be the final game until January.
