The Central Community College women's basketball team lost to North Iowa Area Community College, 111-51, in second-round action of the Great Western Shootout in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

The Trojans outscored the Raiders 27-9 in the first quarter and went to lead 59-22 at halftime. North Iowa continued the momentum in the second half, outscoring CCC 52-29.

With the loss, the Raiders are 3-8 on the season.

CCC will be off until Friday when they take part in the Southeast Community College Holiday Classic in Beatrice. The first opponent is Highland Community College out of Kansas. The Scotties are 12-0 on the season. Tip-off between the Raiders and the Scotties is set for 2 p.m.

On Saturday, CCC takes on another Kansas team in Fort Scott Community College. The Raiders and the Greyhounds will tip it off at 12 noon.
