Jada Warner's double-double helped the Central Community College women's basketball team defeat York College JV, 64-55, Freeman Gym in York. Warner scored 18 points and hauled in 10 rebounds.

Defensively, the Raiders clamped down by holding the Panthers to 23 percent field goal shooting (17-75) and outrebounded the opposition, 45-40.

"The team did a really good job staying together," said CCC head coach Billy Perkins. "York tied it up in the third quarter and we just kept fighting."

Two other Raiders finished in double digits. Quenshae Love scored 14 points, while Lexie Bacon added 11 points. Maddy Wolfe pulled down a team-high 14 rebounds.

The victory gives the Raiders a 3-6 overall mark and a 2-0 sweep of York JV for the season.

CCC will return to action on Friday and Saturday at the Great Western Shootout in Fort Dodge, Iowa. At 5 p.m. on Friday, the Raiders will meet host Iowa Central, followed by a 12 noon battle with North Iowa Area Community College on Saturday.
