CCC Falls Short at NPCC

The Raiders simply ran out of time against the Knights, losing 60-58 on Friday night at McDonald-Belton Gymnasium. CCC trailed 52-39 after three quarters of play before holding NPCC to eight total points in the final quarter.

"We were a step slow in the first half," said CCC head coach Mike Kroupa. "Payton Blanke did an excellent job of leading the comeback, but we fell short."

Blanke was the only player in double figures for the Raiders, scoring 18 points and hauling in seven rebounds. She also was perfect at the free throw line, going 6-6.

The Knights had a pair of players finish in double figures. Thomesha Wilson logged 13 points, while Jessica Lovitt chipped in 10 points. Lovitt nearly had a double-double as she posted nine rebounds.

With the loss, the Raiders are now 8-11 on the season heading into
