Raiders Get the Greyhounds

Central Community College rebounded from a big loss the day before with an 81-74 win over Fort Scott Community College in the second round of the SECC Holiday Classic. The victory marked the fourth time this season where the Raiders were behind heading into the final quarter.

"I was very proud of our team because we bounced back on Saturday against a very good Fort Scott team," said CCC head coach Mike Kroupa.

Teisha Snyder also bounced back as she led the Raiders with 23 points after being held to seven points the day before against Highland. Joining Snyder in the double-digit scoring column were Payton Blanke, who scored 13 points, and Keyia Parker, who finished with 11 points.

The Greyhounds also sported three players in double figures. Natalia Ready and Jordyn Danzer led the way with 14 points apiece, while Chasity Moore chipped in 10 points.

With the win, CCC is now 7-6 on the season and will return to action on Friday night at Des Moines Area Community College. The Bears have a mark of 10-2 following a win over Simpson JV on Sunday. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
