CCC Comes to Life in the Fourth for the Win

The Raiders outscored Southwestern CC, 28-10, in the fourth quarter en route to a 78-62 win to snap a two-game losing slide. The game was close for the first three quarters and the Spartans led 52-50 heading into the final period. Teisha Snyder scored 18 of her game-high 24 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Raiders to the victory. CCC also won the rebounding battle, 53-36.

"It was great to see," said CCC head coach Mike Kroupa. "We were more aggressive, both offensively and defensively, during the final quarter. Plus, we were able to get to the free throw line a lot more."

Autumn Jones finished with 15 points, which included a pair of three-point baskets. The Spartans were led in scoring by Julanie Carter with 20 points, while Keaundrea Washington added 11 points.

The victory gives the Riders a 2-2 mark. CCC will be back in action on Friday in opening round play of the Stone Laser Imaging Classic, which is hosted by State Fair Community College. The Raiders and the host Roadrunners will tipoff at 5:30 p.m.
