COLUMBUS -- The Raiders used a big momentum swing in the second half to pick up a win in their season opener.

The Central Community College women's basketball team held on to beat Concordia 94-93 Saturday at the Raider Fieldhouse.

The Raiders shot 47 percent from the floor in the first half, but trailed Concordia by three points heading into the intermission.

Central broke open the game in the second half, though, eventually taking an 83-69 lead over Concordia.

The Bulldogs stormed back to close that gap, but Central was able to hold off Concordia's comeback for a one-point win.

The Raiders shot 60 percent from the floor in the second half, led by Paige Muhammad, who had a game-high 24 points. Montrese Weller added 21 points and seven rebounds for the Raiders.

Adrianna Beck and Lana'e Washington-Carson gave the Raiders plenty of offensive production, as well, tallying 14 points each.

Central travels to Ellsworth Community College Tuesday.
