Central Community College softball is pleased to announce the signing of Shelby Behnk, an outfielder from Central Valley High School in Greeley.
The Behnk name is familiar to CCC softball as Shelby is the third sister in the family to play for CCC softball in its short history. Older sisters Kate and Brooke both pitched for the Raiders and earned All-Region IX honors.
"They have been good players for us over the years, and we think Shelby is going to be that same kind of player," said CCC head coach Jack Gutierrez. "Shelby is a little bit different in that she has a little more speed and seems to be more of an outfield player."
Behnk is considering majoring in either criminal justice or physical therapy. She is the daughter of Troy and Geri Behnk of Greeley.
