Ethan Bonaparte scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute to lift the Raiders to a 1-0 win over Dakota Wesleyan University JV on Saturday at the Raider Soccer Complex.
Anthony Bolanos provided the assist, while CCC goalie Joao Victor prevented the Tigers from scoring.
"We were happy to come out with a win in our first game of the season," said CCC head coach Hawken Hanna. "We would have loved to put more goals in the back of the net, but with the majority of the team playing in their first college game, I am sure there were a lot of nerves. We now have a better idea of what we need to work on to get better."
The 1-0 Raiders will be back in action on Thursday with a road contest in Fremont against Midland University JV. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
