Men’s Soccer: CCC Shuts Out Trinidad State

Marcus Horwood scored a pair of goals to lead the Central Community College men's soccer team to a 4-0 win at Trinidad State Junior College on Friday. The win gives the Raiders a sweep in the season series as they defeated the Trojans in September.

Horwood scored both goals in the first half. The first came in the eighth minute, while the second occurred 20 minutes later for a 2-0 lead.

Eight minutes into the second half, CCC's Riolan Moradillo Mello scored an unassisted goal to extend the Raiders lead to 3-0. Aldair Fuentes recorded the final score in the 86th minute for the 4-0 win.

CCC netminder Ruben Gonzalez made two saves on the day, while Trinidad State goalie Shamar Jemison finished with seven saves.

With the win, CCC is now 9-5 on the season.
