Central Community College and Hastings JV finished a Sunday matinee in a 2-2 tie in Hastings. The Raiders now sport a record of 2-0-1.
CCC opened the scoring in the 25th minute of the first half when Marcus Horwood recorded his first goal of the season off the assist of Peterson Costa. Ten minutes later, Hastings JV evened the contest and both teams went to halftime tied at 1-1.
The Broncos moved ahead 2-1 with a goal in the 65th minute. The Raiders even the contest for the second time in the 76th minute when Jake Yates booted his first goal of 2017 with Costa recording his second assist of the day. The teams did not play an overtime period and the final score read 2-2.
CCC goalies Guilherme Balestra Demhougi and Jose Gonzalez combined for five saves on seven shots on goal.
Up next, the Raiders will travel to Fremont on Wednesday to take on Midland JV. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
