Central Community College golf is pleased to announce the signing of Christian Jewell, a senior at Platteview High School in Springfield.
Jewell was an NSAA state tournament qualifier and a Nebraska Capitol Conference medalist during his sophomore year.
"I am excited and cannot be more thankful for the opportunity to play college golf at Central Community College," said Jewell. "I look forward to attending CCC and hope to make an impact as a Raider on the course, in the classroom and in the community of Columbus."
CCC head golf coach Britt Blackwell (standing) is looking forward to watching Jewell at high school golf events this spring.
"Christian has the capability of becoming an integral part of the CCC golf team this fall," said Blackwell. "I am impressed with his academic performance at Platteview High School and the work ethic on the golf course he mentioned during our chats leading up his letter of intent signing. It's also a pleasure to have very supportive parents in his corner who are focused on his academic success first and golf results second."
Jewell will major in business at CCC. He is the son of John (seated right) and Jessica (seated left) of Papillion.
