The Central Community College Golf team recorded a win over Doane University JV, 315-335. The dual was held on a picture-perfect day at Elks Country Club in Columbus. However, CCC head coach Britt Blackwell says the weather was only part of the beauty.
"We had, by far, our best performance of the season," said Blackwell.
The Raiders were led by freshman Ryan Stack (Papillion-La Vista South HS), who posted a 77. Sophomore Logan Flemming (High Plains Community HS) finished with a 78, while sophomores Matt Hansen (St. Paul HS) and John Opella (Mullen HS) each finished at 80.
Thursday's win over Doane JV was the final warmup for CCC, which will participate in the Nebraska Intercollegiate Tournament on Friday, October 7, and Saturday, October 8, in Norfolk.
