Golf: Raiders Go Three Rounds in Four Days

The Central Community College Golf team had its busiest week of the fall season with a pair of home contests sandwiched with a road venture to South Dakota.

On Thursday, the Raiders welcomed Northeast CC to Elks Country Club, and the Hawks flew off with the victory, 306-332. CCC was led by Marshall Dreifurst (Scotus Central Catholic) with a low score of 78. Northeast featured five golfers in the 70s, paced by Cameron Bancroft with a 74.

On Friday, CCC met Mount Marty College at Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton, SD, and the Lancers took the dual, 315-330. Ryan Stack (Papillion- La Vista South) shot a 79 to leader the Raiders, while Joe Brinkman led the way for Mount Marty with a 74.

Then on Sunday, CCC returned to its home course, Elks Country Club, to host a dual with Hastings JV. The Broncos emerged as the winners, 325-336. CCC's Logan Flemming (High Plains Community) was the Raiders' low scorer with a 74.

The Raiders will have the week off before resuming play on Sunday and Monday, September 25 and 26, at the I-80 Classic hosted by York College. CCC head coach Brit Blackwell is especially looking forward to the two-day event.

"The Raiders have not been at full strength for any of the duals so far this semester as illness and other issues have plagued the team," said Blackwell. "We will finally be able to compete with team that is at full strength at the I-80 Classic."
