Men’s Basketball: CCC Signs Snow Transfer

Central Community College men's basketball is pleased to announce the signing of Roman Behrens, a transfer from Snow College in Utah.

Behrens is a 2018 graduate of Central High School in Omaha, where he finished his career as the second-leading scorer and the career assist leader in school history. As a senior, he led the state of Nebraska in assists and was named to the Class A All-State 1st Team by the Lincoln Journal Star and to the All-Nebraska Super State 2nd Team by the Omaha World-Herald. Behrens averaged 16.5 points, four rebounds and seven assists per game.

"I chose CCC because I think I will be a good fit with the other players and Coach Ritzdorf," said Behrens. "I am also looking forward to being able to play close to home, so my family can see me play."

At Snow College, Behrens played in 16 games for the Badgers and averaged 3.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

"I am extremely excited to add Roman to our team for this upcoming season," said CCC head coach John Ritzdorf. "He is one of the best passers and decision makers I have seen in my coaching career. Something good is going to happen when the ball is in his hands. I can't wait to have him lead our team."

Behrens will be an academic transfer at CCC. He is the son of Eric Behrens, who also coached him at Central High School during his senior year.
