Men’s Basketball: SCC Prevails Over CCC

The Central Community College men's basketball team lost at Southeast Community College, 85-65, on Saturday in Beatrice.

The Raiders trailed at halftime, 51-32, and the Storm continued the control in the second half.

"We got off to a slow start on Saturday and couldn't catch up," said CCC head coach Jerry Drymon. "Our ball screen defense was not good and that caused a lot of issues. We need to guard at a higher level in order to be successful going forward."

CCC's Tre'vion Crawford (pictured) led all scorers with 22 points, while Latrell Talley scored 12 points. Nathan Frost hauled in a dozen rebounds.

With the loss, the Raiders are now 6-15 on the season.

CCC returns to action on Tuesday night with a road venture to Iowa Western Community College. The Reivers are 18-6 following an 82-72 win over Cloud Community College over the weekend. Tuesday night's game tips at 6 p.m. at Raider Fieldhouse.
