Men’s Basketball: CCC Snaps Two-Game Slide

The Central Community College men's basketball team posted a 79-61 win over Midland JV at Raider Fieldhouse on Thursday night.

In his second game back from injury, Nathan Frost (pictured #25) posted a double-double. The freshman from Melbourne, Australia, scored 17 points and hauled in 14 rebounds. Four other CCC players scored in double figures with Latrell Talley leading the way with 19 points, while Tre'vion Crawford finished with 11 points. Padyn Borders and Manape Cleveland each scored 10 points apiece.

"We played a solid game," said CCC head coach Jerry Drymon. "It is the first time all year we committed to playing defense for an entire game. We recognized a mismatch inside which got Nathan and Latrell involved in the game. Our point guards did a great job with tempo."

With the win, the CCC is now 5-11.

The Raiders are off until Wednesday when they host Northeast Community College at 7:30 p.m.

CCC was to have played game on Friday and Saturday against Quakerdale Prep Academy and Link Year Prep, respectively. However, both games were cancelled because of inclement weather.
