Men’s Basketball: Raiders Pounce Prairie Wolves

The Central Community College men's basketball team recorded an 89-81 win over Nebraska Wesleyan JV on Thursday night at Raider Fieldhouse.

The Raiders built a double-digit lead at halftime, 41-29, on the strength of a 16-0 run. CCC was outscored in the second half, but held on for the eight-point victory.

Five CCC players scored in double figures with Cooper Pratt scoring a team-high 15 points. Padyn Borders (pictured) and Tre'vion Crawford each scored 14 points apiece, while Hakeem Odunsi scored 11 points. Zavier Stevens rounded out the double-digit scoring with 10 points.

"We played well on offense and at times, on defense," said CCC head coach Jerry Drymon. "The 16-0 run to close out the first half was the difference in the game. It was a good win and something we can build on."

With the win, the Raiders are now 2-8 on the season.

Up next, the Raiders will host Doane JV on Monday night at 6 p.m. The Raiders and Tigers were scheduled to tip-off at 8 p.m., but the CCC women's basketball game was postponed.
