Men’s Basketball: MCC Wins At CCC

An 18-0 second-half run helped McCook Community College post a 99-78 win over Central Community College at Raider Fieldhouse on Tuesday night.

The Raiders were within five points when the Indians rattled off the big run, which was powered by three-point buckets. In all, MCC tallied 13 three-pointers on the night.

CCC's Zavier Stevens led two players in double figures with 21 points. Delrico Simms came off the bench to score 10 points.

"The guys competed for about 30 minutes," said CCC head coach Jerry Drymon. "One of the things we have focused on over the past week is just play hard. I'm proud of the guys for the things we've asked them to do, they've done."

The loss gives the Raiders a season mark of 1-7.

Up next, CCC will travel to Southwestern Community College on Tuesday, Nov. 27. Southwestern defeated CCC, 71-68, on Nov. 17 at Raider Fieldhouse. Tip-off for Tuesday's contest is at 7 p.m.
