CCC Defeats Concordia JV to Stay Unbeaten

Five players scored in double figures to lead Central Community College to a 95-82 win over Concordia JV. The Raiders logged ten three-point buckets and went to the free throw line 37 times, making good on 27. With the win, CCC is now 4-0 on the 2016-17 season.

Marco Fabietti led the scoring charge with 22 points, while Raiders reserve Deon Tabb finished with 20 points. Logan Flemming tallied 18 points and Ruben Fuamba tacked on 13 points. Rounding out the top five CCC scorers was Jerome Dixon, who chipped in 11 points.

"I am really proud of our offensive rebounding effort," said CCC head coach Jerry Drymon. "We focused on that this week and it is great that the guys picked it up.  We are pleased to be 4-0, but we still have lots of details we need to improve upon."

The Raiders will return to action on Friday in opening round action of the Hawks Classic at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. CCC will take on Iowa Lakes Community College, which is 2-1 following a 117-86 win over Dordt JV on Monday night.

"I am excited to take on Iowa Lakes on Friday who is receiving votes to be nationally ranked," said Drymon. "It will be a great test for us."

The Raiders and the Lakers will tipoff at 4 p.m.
