Midland JV Pushes CCC to the Limit

The Central Community College men's basketball team defeated Midland JV by a two-point bucket on Sunday, 81-79. But it was the three-point bucket that nearly provided the upset for the Warriors, as they logged 14 treys on the afternoon. However, Midland struggled at the free throw line, managing only 47 percent (9-19). The Raiders took advantage and finished with 70 percent free throw shooting (16-23).

All five CCC starters scored in double figures, with Ruben Fuamba leading the pack with 21 points. Marco Fabietti added 16, while Logan Flemming finished with 15. Midland's James Kaiser led all scorers with 30 points, including eight three-point buckets. Ryan Williams scored 12 points, while Colin Heath totaled 11 points.

The Raiders are now 3-0 and will return to action on Tuesday at 8 p.m. with a home game against Concordia JV. All veterans and military members will be admitted free of charge at Raider Fieldhouse and they will be recognized.
