Central men split games over weekend

COLUMBUS — The Central Community College men's basketball team split a pair of games over the weekend in Columbus.

The Raiders defeated Little Priest Tribal College 109-83, scoring a season-high in points Saturday. On Sunday, the Raiders lost their first game of the season 89-79 to Southwestern Community College.

In the win over Little Priest, Central had five players in double figures, led by 19 points from Bryant Nolan off the bench.

Austin Anderson added 17 points and Bobby La'Ge scored 15. The Raiders dominated the boards, outrebounding Little Priest 65-34. Central's leading rebounder was Ruben Fuamba, who grabbed 11.

In the loss to Southwestern, Central outscored the Spartans in the second half, but it wasn't enough for the win.

La'Ge scored 23 points and had four steals. Lavius Rosemond totaled 17 points and shot 6 for 9 from the field.

Central hosts Concordia JV Tuesday in Columbus.
