CRETE -- After putting together two straight solid offensive performances, the Raiders couldn't find enough points Sunday.

"That was probably the tale of the game," Central head coach Jerry Drymon said. "We just couldn't make shots in the second half."

The Central Community College men's basketball team fell to the Doane JV Sunday 79-58 in Crete.

The loss snapped Central's two-game win streak.

It wasn't until early in the second half, though, that the Raider offense fell out of rhythm.

At halftime, Central was in position to make a run, down one point to the Doane JV.

Then things started to snowball for the Raiders.

"In the first 13 minutes of the second half, we only scored 13 points, so we really struggled there to score after a having a couple of good offensive games in a row," Drymon said.

Thomas Johnson led the Raiders with 21 points, while Connor Long added 13 and Tyrone Clayton chipped in 10 points.

Central drops to 5-17 on the season and travels to Southeast Community College Wednesday.
