CCC Signs Dual-Sport Athlete

Central Community College athletics is pleased to announce the signing of Scotus Central Catholic High School senior Bailey Lehr. She will play both volleyball and basketball for the Raiders.

Lehr led the Scotus volleyball team to the NSAA Class C1 state volleyball tournament earlier this month. In the Shamrocks' opening-round loss to Lincoln Lutheran, Lehr recorded 10 kills and seven digs. Scotus finished the 2018 campaign with a 19-10 mark.

"We are excited to add another Scotus Shamrock to the CCC volleyball roster," said CCC head coach Mary Young. "She has had great success at Scotus and really has a high ceiling in terms of continued development as a volleyball player. Bailey is an incredible athlete and has the potential to be a six-rotation player. She will give us some strength at the net with her offensive play.

In basketball, Lehr led the Shamrocks to the 2018 NSAA Class C1 championship. She averaged 11 points and eight rebounds per game as a junior and will be a four-year letter winner. Lehr was named to the Class C1 All-State First Team and the NSAA All-Class All-State Tournament Team. She also earned all-conference honors.

"Bailey is a dynamic player that will help on both ends of the floor," said CCC head women's basketball coach Billy Perkins. "She is competitor and knows how to win. Bailey is going to be great addition to our team."

A member of the Scotus track team, Lehr has been a state track meet qualifier for three years.

Lehr will major in agri-business at CCC. She is the daughter of Lance Lehr and Joan Lehr.
